Arc de Triomphe
Monument Honoring France’s Military History
The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. Commissioned by Napoleon after his victory at Austerlitz in 1805, it honors those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.
